On the 26th of June - Health
Care Program of Caritas Georgia and Freiburg Catholic University of Applied
Sciences organized a symposium dedicated to the topic of "Nursing Management
of the of Geriatric Patients` problems”.
Participants were welcomed by
the Manager of Caritas Georgia Health Care Program Gaioz Kubaneishvili and Vice-Chancellor of Freiburg Catholic Universit, Professor Dr. Cornelia Kricheldorff.
Participants
of the event were teachers of Medical Colleges of Georgia. Professors of Freiburg Catholic University made presentations and talked about the innovations in the field
of assessment of health status, treatment and care of geriatric patients.
Professor
Dr. Cornelia Kricheldorff, Dr. Bernhard Heimbach and Dr. Ines Himmelsbach discussed
the topic of the multidisciplinary approach to geriatric patient care and clarified
age-related diseases.
After
the presentation, a discussion was held and the representatives of Georgian
medical colleges had an opportunity to ask questions and discuss various health
conditions of geriatric patients with German guests.
Symposium
ended with a Georgian Dance, performed by the Children of Caritas Georgia Day
Care Center. After the event participants had a possibility to visit different
projects of Caritas Georgia and get information about their activities.
