“All formats,
all forums of international organizations are used to the full to ensure that
Georgia remains a priority issue. This process is irreversible and we are
determined to take further steps in this direction” – Georgian Foreign Minister
David Zalkaliani told journalists after the parliament confirmed the new Prime
Minister’s cabinet.
According to him, Georgia has made a tangible progress on the foreign policy front and it appears paradoxical that opponents refer to this very field to lead the society into error and to give them the false impression that Georgia has allegedly problems with respect to the foreign policy course.
Georgia uses all high-level formats
to ensure that the situation in Georgia’s occupied territories and the illegal
activities taking place there are duly assessed by the international community.
Georgia, as never before, has made clear its policy aimed at European and
Euro-Atlantic integration. Georgia is recongnized as the leader of EaP
countries. Georgia is currently the associated member of the EU but it is
moving ahead towards full membership. Georgia is also the most successful aspirant
country of NATO which has all practical instruments for membership” – the
Minister said.
